Why i do what i do

The demands of caring for a newborn, infant, and toddler are physically, emotionally, and psychologically taxing. Some people have their village to help them raise their child and alleviate some of those demands. Other people have to build their own village of people to help them. My mission is to help (newborn/first time) parents build a village that will help transition them into Parenthood and support them throughout their journey of Parenthood in a loving, empowering, and respectful way. My hope is that the resources and guides I provide parents will help them enjoy parenthood and thrive throughout the journey.

Raquel Richter: mother of three, retired attorney, consultant, DONA International trained postpartum doula, home cook, knowledge seeker, problem solver. These seven phrases help paint a picture of who I am and what’s important in my life. My nickname within my closest friends and family is “Rock” and I like to think that the people I work with come to think of me as their rock as well.

I have so truly enjoyed my parenting journey raising three children. Over the years friends began to see me as a resource to enrich their parenting journeys as well. This got me thinking about our societal shift away from parenting as a village and got me wondering about creating modern parenting villages. I decided to take the resources and knowledge I had gained over the years and start creating villages, which in our modern life we simply refer to as resources. My goal is to empower everyone on their parenting journey with love, kindness, understanding, education, and experience. I want everyone that I work with to resolve to be the best parent that they can be. I would love to work with you and watch you thrive, not just survive along your parenting journey.
