I present to you the postpartum recovery gift bag: tub and tea edition

I curated this postpartum recovery gift bag as my way to help change the conversation to include gifts for the birthing person in addition to gifts for the baby. I also wanted the bag to serve as a tangible reminder that the Postpartum period is one of recovery and adjustment and lots of firsts. I want the birthing person to remember to take care of themselves first and then take care of the baby, like the instructions you get on an airplane should the cabin loose pressure and you are traveling with a child.

I curated the items in the bag, including the bag itself to be useful for more than one purpose. I was intentional about including materials that are more eco-friendly and non-toxic. I sourced the items from some BCorp companies and other companies that provide reusable materials. The gift includes a reusable jute tote bag, a cotton/hemp bath towel, a stainless steel water bottle, a bath soak, coconut oil, witch hazel, a silicone hot water bag, and raspberry leaf tea.
